History of Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce

Founded in 1983 as the Cherry Creek Commerce Association, the original objective was to act as a merchandise group for all businesses in the Cherry Creek area. Over time, the Association began planning events and other programs to improve overall business and community life in the Cherry Creek neighborhood and its surrounding areas. As a leader in promoting the redevelopment of the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, the Association’s role and responsibilities increased, and in 1990, upon completion of the shopping center, the Association became the Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber provided seed money for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival and was instrumental in the development of Transportation Solutions, a public-transport and alternative transportation advocacy group. The Chamber also founded the Cherry Creek Forum, a collaborative discussion group, which invites community leaders to get to know each other and to work together to creatively resolve issues facing the neighborhood.

All Chamber Members Enjoy:

• Events and Programs – The Chamber produces a variety of meetings, programs and events, including Business Success Series, Business After Hours, The Woman of Cherry Creek, Leads Groups, luncheons and more. Members enjoy special access to all of these events.
  
   
• Each month, the Chamber hosts Business After Hours (BAH), a networking event designed to encourage members to meet and build business relationships. BAHs provide a forum for interaction between small, mid-size and large Denver companies and organizations representing a variety of industries. In 2006, BAHs are free of charge for attendees. The events take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at various Cherry Creek neighborhood locations.
  
   
• Membership Mailing Lists and Directory – Members enjoy access to valuable business information and contacts including one free list of our memberships mailing list when your company joins.
  
   
• Sponsorship Opportunities – Chamber sponsorship opportunities provide members with cost-effective means for promote their business to our membership and to Cherry Creek as a district.
  
   
• Volunteering - The Chamber is a team of committed individuals who choose to enhance their own lives and have fun by becoming involved in the community. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available including the Ambassadors Club for specific events such as the Business After Hours and the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.
  
   
• Exclusive Advertising Opportunities – Only Chamber members are offered the special member-to-member advertising opportunity via our email blasts, monthly membership mailings, plus placement on our upgraded, high-traffic website.
